Run 186 – Los Colorados
Los Colorados – Valentines Hash
Vindaloo and bean curry all round must have been on everyone’s menu on Saturday night, because there has never been a windier hash. It wasn´t too cold though and the sun was shining, as it tends to do in these parts.
Twenty umpteen hashers and nearly as many mutts assembled for coffee at the bar in Los Colorados for the Valentine’s Day hash. There were several virgins and an international flavour with some very welcome local Spanish joining in; with the Belgium’s, who are starting to breed; the Scots; the Welsh; the Scousers; the Mackem, the nearly Mackem’s; the Brummie and those from God’s own country to name just a few! Some came dressed for the occasion in pink tutus and mysterious masks!
The walkers enjoyed a stroll out into the campo, by lemon groves and they went up a steepish hill, from which there were great views, and then they sauntered back along a small rambla back to the start. The runners meanwhile, had to deal with many more ups and downs, but they must have enjoyed it because they all came back smiling!
The circle was also a windy affair, but the only smell was coming from the mutt that had rolled in the fox crap . No names, no pack drill! Various down downs were awarded as is the norm(an bates), on these occasions; but I thought it was a bit harsh to down down Wag and Over the Fence for snogging on the hash … after all it was Valentines Day!
